Faking it in Iceland

Why on earth would official tourism officials stoop so low as to „fake“ instagram pics?

Why on earth would official tourism officials stoop so low as to „fake“ instagram pics?

Take a close look at the picture above. Nice isn´t it? This beautiful lady sure is having a mightily relaxing time in Iceland. Enjoying the Blue lagoon in perfect, still weather and the sun even shining so beautifully too. She even, very remarkably, seems to have the place to herself.

Which never happens in reality since this pic is a fake. Not fake as in photo shopped fake but fake as in this particular individual is a popular instagrammer invited especially to Iceland to rave about local shit. Although, we suspect this is a lamp and not the sun shining behind her.

Which is money badly spent in our view. Iceland is unique in every way and uniqueness sells itself with no help from marketers. Such stunts will give others the idea that they too can enjoy the Blue lagoon in a Kodak-moment setting in Iceland. When in fact, they can´t. Which means disappointment which means they won´t recommend Iceland as much.

This is basic stuff guys.
