You need not worry about anything at all should you get sick or injured while traveling in Iceland. We have top class health care system.

Team Total Iceland has gotten mails lately asking about the reliability of the health care system. Are you in safe hands if something happens on your travels here? Indeed, some seem to believe Iceland has third-world healthcare judging from the questions. But fair enough. You do want to be safe when traveling and know you will be taken good care of if something happens.

You need not worry here. Away from the larger towns there might not be state-of-the-art hospitals in every place but most places have doctors and some kind of emergency service operating around the clock. More often than not local docs are highly trained and professional and no matter where, you will be taken care of.

DO NOT add this to your worries about your forthcoming trip to Iceland.
