We know many of you visiting Iceland only give yourself a few days here at best and then a number of you do not venture very far from Reykjavik city. Problem is, this place is chock-full of amazing spots and anyone just spending a long weekend or even a week will leave wanting for more.

As team Total Iceland has written about in the past there is a lot in this world we do not understand. Like, for example, how a fancy hotel resort located just a breath away from very polluting industrial area can get such fantastic reviews from everyone.

We can debate forever the pros and cons of whale hunting in Iceland and elsewhere but it is the kind of topic too many feel too passionately about to make discussions worthwhile.

One thing trekkers need to keep in mind when visiting Iceland is that the WHOLE country is stunning and there is really no need to travel far to experience nature at its very best.

We hate to say this but odds are people should not stay too long in the otherwise beautiful and historic Hvalfjordur fjord in the Southwest of Iceland.…
