Seriously lovely tours in Iceland now available
T here are lots of ways for you to experience what is known as the Golden Circle in Iceland. The majority of tour operators offer scheduled trips and taking the Golden Circle route on your own is pretty easy and straightforward.
Naturally, there is no „right“ way to the Golden Circle but what we mean is that nature´s wonders deserve more than a quickie and you too deserve more. Team Total Iceland believes you should take all the time you want, stop where you want and a local should offer helpful information along the route if requested. In other words; let you feel welcome and not just part of a group to quickly service before the next group arrives.
Listed below are four different tours of the Golden Circle on offer summer of 2022. They are certainly a bit different from the norm for these reasons among others:
- We do not offer any super duper monster trucks but simply drive you around in a regular sedan or a minibus if the group is larger than two people. Good for you, good for us and good for the environment.
- We do not accept larger groups than 8 people. This is supposed to be fun.
- The tours are not time limited. See anything special we stop, feel hungry we stop, inner peace coming on we stay longer etc…
So, without further ado:
BRONZE CIRCLE » Time limited in Iceland then this is the most basic you can do. We will drive to Thingvellir National Park, Geysir and Gullfoss and spend 30 minutes in each one. Then straight back to Reykjavik again. Overall duration roughly 5 hours. Morning or Afternoon available all summer. Guiding in English. PRICE pr.person (minimum 2) 13.000 ISK.
SILVER CIRCLE » This is how it should be. We travel to Thingvellir, Geysir and Gullfoss as before but now we take more time to explore each one and some other niceties along the way. Those include Laugarvatn village, Kerid volcanic crater and a drive through Nesjavellir geothermal area. Want to do a glacier trip extra from Gullfoss or go Horse Riding in Skalholt village we will wait for you. Keep in mind extra costs are not included in price. Overall duration 8-10 hours. Morning tours available. Guiding in English. Price pr.person (minimum 2) 25.000 ISK.
GOLDEN CIRCLE » Here we go full force enjoyment. Thingvellir, Geysir and Gullfoss visited as well as Fludir village, Skalholt village and Laugarvatn village. A number of extra stops seeing caves, hot springs and odd museums to name a few. Then ending up in a rather special restaurant in Hveragerdi town before returning. Dinner included. Overall duration 10-12 hours. Guiding in English. Price pr.person (minimum 2) 38.000 ISK.
GOLDEN CIRCLE PLUS » Same as Golden Circle tour but with a twist. You spend one night in a local summer cottage close to Laugarvatn village. Much more open-ended trip but all the important places visited and then some. Please contact for details as exact dates of stay and number in group dictate what is available and possible. Overall duration 24 hours. Morning & Afternoon available. Guiding in English. Price pr.person (minimum 2). 52.000 ISK.
