Care for free superfoods? Head to Iceland in late August and pick berries like there is no tomorrow.
Some so-called experts call them super-foods. We just call them berries. And should you like some you better head out into local nature no later than the end of August.
All good things come to an end and wild Icelandic berries do so quickly. The time frame for picking them ripe and perfect is usually no longer than three weeks from the middle or late August each year.
