F or a long time travelers have been able to gorge on lamb penises in some places in China where this is considered a delicacy by many. But China is not the only place where you can try this.
In Iceland this “delicacy” is also available over a certain period in the year. Actually, we contend Icelanders offer superior product in this regard. Few places in China are free from disgusting pollution and the rotten soil in places where livestock roams. Not so in Iceland. Yet. Thus, your lamb penis should taste a tiny bit better but still be very chewy and sour and not to every taste.
In all honesty, lamb penis is a relatively new product in Iceland. It is also not sold year-round but only around the pagan festival of Thorrablot, Þorrablót in Icelandic, where locals feast on such appetizing stuff as sour sheep testicles, burned sheep heads, dried fish and rotten shark with disgusting alcoholic drink called Brennivin. The drink is a very bad version of potato liquor such as you might also find in off the chart villages in Russia.

Don´t worry, these events are almost always buffet-style things so even if you hate feasting on little lambs you can easily opt out.
