Tough luck for ole´ Raymond Romano. Turns out his old show is but on par with the city of Reykjavik Iceland in the ratings game.

Team Total Iceland does not know what to make of the recent official statistics showing extreme enjoyment of foreigners visiting Reykjavik city. We would like to believe folks are exaggerating their pleasure but perhaps we are simply too damn pessimistic. Turns out no less than 98.5 per cent of visitors would recommend Reykjavik to their friends back home.

That is a huge number indeed. Almost Vladimir Putin large. Best city on earth large.

Where are the folks we´ve been talking to complaining about expensive stuff and little to see? Did they do a Houdini while this survey was taken?

Might it be the fancy Laugarvegur shopping street with its 50 per cent share of souvenir shops? Might it be the very expensive herd-like day tours from Reykjavik? Might it be because you love sleeping with the sun shining all night?

The survey does not say. And we don´t know what to say.
