Perhaps it is human nature to seek out all those things banned for one reason or another. Very understandable in most cases but less so if the thing in question could end your life in a jiffy. That´s more suicide than curiosity.

Seems there is no shortage of people making their way into the off-limit area around Holuhraun volcano in the North of Iceland. A live volcano is certainly a prized thing to witness with your own eyes and a fine lesson in how humans have not really control over much in this world.

But while the sight is tremendous the danger lies in things one cannot see. Poisonous gases are freely flowing around here too and as a sign of how very dangerous those vapors can be one need only take a look at the dead birds lying here. If birds flying around will drop dead in a heartbeat the danger for humans is very real indeed. Consider also that if something were to happen there is a long way to nearest hospital.
