Talk about ignoring the locals! What team Total Iceland has been saying about the famed Blue lagoon for years is now front page material for all the large news sites in Iceland due to a couple of unknown foreign bloggers giving the place a big thumbs down.

We should be mad, of course. After all, our critical articles about the lagoon have been met with frost and ignorance in that order. Better yet, the marketing dept. of the Blue lagoon has given us a thumping and we´ve not exactly made many friends on social media either. Truth is not something the folks want these days.

Anyway, finally some thinking people are seeing the light. Not just a few foreign bloggers but even Condé Nast is having a change of heart. So much so there was recently a survey on the site asking if the Blue lagoon was a must-see or a tourist trap. Is it assuredly the latter.

Enjoy Iceland.
